My name is Wojciech Król and I am 28 years old. I am a firefighter by profession, I have been doing this job for over 7 years. I am passionate about knifemaking. My journey started in 2007 from blacksmithing. First, I was fascinated by fire. I was curious about how different things can be made from hard and cold metal. At the beginning of my adventure, I had been making axes, hammers and other utility items. I have been making knives since 2009. Once my first knife was created, something sparked. I started searching, investigating and absorbing knowledge, all about knifemaking. I met many wonderful people along the way, thanks to whom the path was much easier. As the following quote says “the further into the forest…” the more I realize how comprehensive is the art of knifemaking. However, I can definitely say that I have been doing this for half of my life! And I will certainly continue to do so, if I have the opportunity.
